At A.B.A. we have purposefully organized the remodeling process into the following four distinct yet intertwined phases.
1) Initial Contact to Contract Signing
From the time you make your initial contact with A.B.A. Home Remodelers, our professional team kicks into gear and generates relevant information about you and your dream for your home. We do so through a thoughtful and cogently planned procedure. This no nonsense—yet friendly—approach insures that we jointly build a scope of work that is practical yet creative; can be constructed within your specific circumstance; and takes into special account your budget so that there are no hidden future costs. Our proposal for work is only presented after extensive preliminary discussions and research, including one or more walk-throughs that insure the completeness of our proposal.
2) Contract Signing to Pre-Construction Services
What makes A.B.A. Home Remodelers unique is our ability to provide a diversified approach to satisfying our clients’ needs. Some remodeling companies provide only a Design/Build option. Others act only as a sub-contractor to a client’s own Architect/Design Group. At A.B.A. Home Remodelers we are able to provide all of the resources necessary for a Design/Build process. We also will work with a client’s existing plans from an Architect/Design Group. A.B.A. Home Remodelers works within the framework of these two main remodeling strategies, as well as others that can be reviewed when you contact us.
• Design/Build
As the name implies, this process combines the creativity associated with a design group—including a certified architect— with the building expertise of a construction team. Under the Design/Build concept all activity required to bring a client’s dream to fruition is in the hands of a single entity: The Remodeler of Choice.
This process has decided advantages, not the least of which is maintaining tight central control over the project. It enhances our ability to align the scope of work with the budget that’s right for you. This in turn causes less stress for you the client.
• Bid from Existing Plans
All of the responsibilities associated with generating plans for the construction phase of the project are now in the hands of you, the client. Further, it will be your responsibility to define the project in sufficient detail to secure and compare bids.
However, the A.B.A. Home Remodelers' commitment to a higher standard of excellence and the experience of working successfully with other professionals guarantees that each of our clients receives the benefit of our company’s creativity, as well as our expertise in estimating, scheduling, materials selection and detail to construction regardless of the path chosen.
3) Pre-construction Through Production
At A.B.A. Home Remodelers, we are very conscious of our commitment to each and every client. We will never accept a project if it will in any way inhibit our ability to produce a top quality product for a commitment we have already made. We also recognize that a certain amount of physical dislocation and emotional upheaval is inherent to the remodeling process. That’s why each project is overseen by a Project Manager specifically chosen because of his/her expertise and experience in that area of construction. Furthermore, field personnel and sub-contractors are expected to promote on-going job site cleanliness and teamwork, along with their particular trade. Finally, all on-going projects are overseen by our Production Manager who reports directly to our Owner.
4) Production To Warranty Period
Completing construction of your project doesn’t mean A.B.A. Home Remodelers is through with our process. A.B.A.Home Remodelers guarantees our work for one year from the time of completion so that your comfort level is maintained. In that way we are assured of having built a relationship with our clients that will make them go out of their way to promote our company and refer us to family and friends. These are clients who are proud to have been exposed to our culture, philosophy and the way we do business.
